And I was very pleased with the reaction of the GG, not only his screams in the gameplay, but his “fuck it all, I’m sick of everything, where is the way out” in the plot scenes.
Downpur, by the way, is still the only part where the city is a full-fledged open world, small but open. And there is something to follow and there are quests that can be completed. The remake is still a corridor and the city, with the exception of the initial sequence, is also a corridor, this is not a pretension, it was like that in the original. But I still dream about SH with a completely open city, so far this experience only gives Downpur and a little of the first part.
Xs, unlike the original, both the prison and the labyrinth are many times more diverse in the arrangement of rooms and game situations. There, the lights are turned off in the prison, you run around on different floors, shoot these spiders on the walls, and because of the 3D full-fledged camera, it’s easier to navigate and understand where you are. I love the fixed camera in old games, but it prevents you from directly exploring locations if they are confusing and the walls are too similar, for example, like in the same labyrinth or prison from the original. With a free camera this problem simply disappears. So, game-mechanically, these segments have only gotten better. But again tastes. I love SH just for these leisurely solitary wanderings through shabby rooms in search of objects and understanding where to go, what to use and what task you will encounter besides wandering enemies.
Just finished my second playthrough of the remake. For now GOTI for me (there are chances for Indiana Jones to beat this matter). I would only get to the bottom of a couple of points.
1) Anril 5 on PC again produced memes with stutters;
2) it’s a shame that not all the guns for NG+ were delivered (only the chainsaw);
3) sometimes the camera does unpleasant tricks.
However, despite this, I am extremely pleased with the remake. I expected much worse, but I’m glad I was wrong. Let’s see what happens with Townfall and F, but now, despite other developers, faith in a normal comeback has grown a little)
Maybe these locations are drawn out, but personally I missed the CX games so much that I didn’t notice it. When I got into the maze I winced a little, I didn’t like this segment in the original, but in the remake they made it much better.
